Description:
Her Story travelled the world, from a Writers in India and Toronto, to Ladies in Brazil, North American Natives, to World Wide Spiritual & Religious Seekers, Olympic Visitors and Networkers, Bloggers and Tweeters and to an Art Showdown at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
She was given many names along the way, Gaia, Mother Mary, Yemaja, Water Goddess, Lady of the Lake, Nemue and it was said she is the same lady that appeared in Amsterdam as an aberition in the 50's.
Many claim as they gaze upon her image they feel a sense of tranquility and peace and others claim she changes faces infront of them.
As the artist I am honored with all the wonderful comments and viewers visions. How the painting came about was simple for me... I sat on a bench on the North Shore of Vancouver just prior to the Olympics starting and I had this vision in my mind of this figure rising out of the water. The painting came naturally and emerged from the canvas. Enjoy.
